Head to the library for an afternoon filled with florals! Led by Burghblooms, this class geared toward kids in grades K-5 will offer fun instruction on how to select, plant and nurture flowers for the best arrangements. All experience levels are welcome.
Shadyside Sidewalk Sale
July 29-Aug. 2, Walnut Street
The annual Shadyside Sidewalk Sale returns for five days, bringing shoppers to Walnut Street for deals and exclusive offers from independent businesses. On Saturday, Aug. 1, the Shadyside Chamber of Commerce is hosting its “Summer Spritz and Stroll” event; guests can enjoy a variety of cocktails while shopping.
Title Town Soul & Funk Party
August 1, Spirit
Soul, funk, Motown and more will fill the Spirit dance floor this Saturday night. One of the city’s biggest summer dance parties — DJ’d (with vinyl only) by Title Town — will showcase tracks from the early ’60s through late ’80s; think James Brown, The Temptations, Ruby Andrews and other legends.
